Did you know you can earn five or six figures with jobs that don’t require a degree?
I know it’s good to have a degree. But if you don’t have one and you don’t see yourself going back to college, don’t limit yourself to any job.
You have a lot of great choices.
And in this post, I will show you 11 of the many high-paying jobs that don’t require a degree. And you can start some of them right now…
1. Freelance Writing
If you think you only need a degree to earn a high salary, you may be wrong.
Freelance writing is a very lucrative career that you can start right away.
Fortunately, you don’t need many degrees to work as a freelance writer. I even know some non-native English speakers who make four figures from this job. So if you can get past your t and fix the punctuation, you’re on the right track.
For now, forget the $5 Fiver gig. I know writers who make $100 – $300 per post. But they don’t hustle with $5 gigs. Instead, they go out and sell directly to companies that pay well. How?
Prospects: Find companies with high prospects on LinkedIn and Google.
Email: Find the contact’s email address using hunter or Snov.io and
Pitch: Send emails to potential companies and pitch your ideas
2. Become a transcriber
Est. Income: $24,000
Transcription work is another lucrative job that doesn’t require a college degree to get started and makes a lot of money.
The average base salary for a copywriter, according to Glassdoor, is $24,000.
Remember that this number only gives a reasonable idea of how much you can expect to earn.
You can earn more or maybe less, depending on the company you work for and a number of other factors.
As a transcriber, your role is to convert audio messages to text format.
In that case, your only necessary skills are sufficient knowledge of the language, good listening, and fast typing. If you ticked three boxes, then you are ready.
3. Open an Etsy shop
This is more like starting your own business than working for someone. The good thing is that there is no limit to how much you can earn from your Etsy stores.
There are Etsy store owners making over $10,000/month from their stores. Alicia Shaffer makes over $1 million a year from her Etsy store.
Now, even if you start with $1000, that’s still a decent income. But the good news is that the longer you stay on Etsy, the more products you have and the more money will go into your bank account.
So, with a little time and patience, you can make six figures from your ETSY store.

4. Become a Digital Marketer
Est. Income: $100,000
Companies spend $333.25 billion on Digital Ads in 2019 alone. To understand what I’m talking about, check out this breakdown of ad spend across different platforms:
Now, if only 0.001% of that money could get into your bank, you could live the next 10 years sitting on the beach.
How? By becoming a digital marketer. Your sole job is to help companies optimize their ads for their target audience and drive sales.
I’ve seen some digital marketers make over $100,000/year doing exactly that.
You don’t need a degree to do that, but you do need training in digital marketing.
If you don’t know how to get started, I recommend you sign up for Clickbank’s affiliate marketing course.
Clickbank has helped its clients make over $4 billion using the same strategies you’ll be taught in that course.
5. Web development
Est. Income: $79,000 plus a year
You don’t need an advanced degree to get started in web development. I say that because I started my online journey as a web developer and it just took me a few youtube videos and practice.
The good thing with tech jobs is that the demand is growing and the competition is relatively low as fewer people rush into them. And that means a good thing for you.
In fact, the average salary of a web developer in the US is $78435 a year.
And don’t mistake it for the limit. You can earn more than $155,000 a year.
How much you earn depends on how you are hired. There are two ways to get hired as a web developer.
Freelance job site
That includes joining projects on freelance sites. Some of the most popular freelance sites for web development jobs are:
Freelance sites are great for getting started with web development, but they make significantly less money than being hired by a company.
Working under a company: This is a better-paying way to make money as a web developer.
You may need to get a certificate and prepare a CV. The pay will be worth the stress.
Any degree can be a great plus, but the point is you don’t need a CS degree to get hired.
And you can get a web development job with a good certification even if you don’t have a degree.
You can find recruitment companies and start applying to companies through these websites:

8. Sell your skills in the form of E-books
A great thing Did you know that you can make good money by packaging your ideas and selling them as e-books?
With eBooks, you’ll create a passive income stream to keep making money – even while you’re curled up in a blanket.
But I don’t have any skills.
Well, you’re probably the only one around, and you need to follow Elon the next time he goes to Mars.
Okay, don’t take the joke too seriously.
But here it is, you actually have some things you know. Let’s see:
- You play the guitar: You may not be Yuja Wang, but at least, you know better than the guys next door.
- You know how to speak French.
- OR You just know how to put a troublesome puppy to sleep.
But one question: How do you sell your E-book?
Homely! E-book publishing platform.
The e-book publishing platform receives millions of visitors every month. So, if your work is great, trust me, you’ll probably sell faster than you’ll pinch yourself.
Amazon Kindle, KoboWriting, Lulu, Nuke Press, Blurb.
9. Sell Photos Online
Many website owners pay hundreds of dollars per month for stock photos.
If you’re a big Shutterbug, that’s a pretty big deal: This could be a serious source of passive income for you.
So how does it work?
You are registered on at least 5 photo-sharing websites (See list below).
You will then browse the galleries to get a feel for their paintings.
Now you can go ahead and start taking your own pictures and uploading them.
You get paid every time someone downloads any of your photos.
Here are the 5 best photo-sharing sites you can upload:
These sites have millions of visitors, so you can imagine the exposure of your photos.

Wrong wrong wrong!
In particular, I started my online journey with web design – and believe me, the only thing you need is your attention!
So how much can you earn?
Speaking of salary, if you are just starting out as a web designer, you can earn around $55,000/year on average.
However, after 3 more years of work, you could see your salary increase to almost $8,000 a month.
Just a couple of weeks – for a super mediocre like me!
So the point is, it might even take you less time.
